![]() With that said, I believe having cast members (such as Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Millie Bobbie Brown, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, and so on) of Stranger Things as panel guests at the 2017 expo would be a legendary feat. Each year of the Cincinnati Comic Expo promises to be "bigger and better", and director Andrew Satterfield, media relations director Matt Bredestege, and their team, commit to bringing this mantra to life. In years' past, the expo has hosted Chandler Riggs of The Walking Dead, Paul McGann of Doctor Who, Adam West and Burt Ward of Batman's Batman and Robin, Sean Astin of Lord of The Rings (and the upcoming season 2 of Stranger Things), Claudia Wells of Back to the Future, and more. In 2016, the expo brought John Barrowman of Doctor Who and Arrow fame, Karen Fukuhara of Suicide Squad, and Stan Lee for his final Midwest signing, just to name a few. Every year, the expo that happens in my hometown brings familiar faces of TV, movies, and comic books to the Duke Energy Center in Downtown Cincinnati, for a weekend of pop-culture and fandom-inspired fun. The man is a class act! I think I can speak for everyone, at Cincinnati Comic Expo, that we hope we haven’t seen the last of Teddy, on The Flash! I had the pleasure of meeting Teddy during the course of the weekend. It was bittersweet! (He may have taken one of the Jay Garrick’s prop helmets … may have.) Sears closed out the panel by sharing with the audience the keepsakes he got to take home. On the last day of filming, the costume designer walked up to Teddy, tore off is Zoom logo and gave it to him. Even now, he has not watched himself, in season 2.Ĩ. Fun Fact: Teddy does not like watching himself of TV. Teddy states in all seriousness, they have a blast on set!ħ. Carlos informs Teddy after the take, that he called Cisco by the wrong name… Awkward…Ħ. Teddy takes it the wrong way and thinks Carlos is laughing at him. Teddy states, “…and Cisco Ramirez.” Carlos starts to laugh, during the scene. Teddy/Jay goes down the list of names and gets to Cisco. During the scene, where he reveals himself to be Jay Garrick, Teddy/Jay proceeds to tell the group, knows who they all are. The first day Teddy was on set, he was nervous. What was Teddy’s most embarrassing moment on set? I think we can all agree we are happy to hear this! The writers better be listening. When asked by an audience member, “if he would ever want to come back as Black Flash?” Teddy answered with the following: They wanted to create their own version of the character.Ĥ. They emphasized to Teddy not to put much stock in the research. ![]() What research did Teddy do to prepare for the role of Jay Garrick/Zoom? Teddy asked the writers to send him some material for research. The writers told Teddy, they would send him some Justice Society of America comics. He wanted to stay on the show for as long as he could. Teddy secretly hoped the writers would change their minds and keep him as Jay Garrick. ![]() Sears? Fun Facts:ġ.Teddy knew almost right away that he would be playing Zoom - take a minute and think about that! Teddy had to go an entire year keeping this secret. I don’t know if I could do it!Ģ. He put great thought into all his answers. Teddy was so gracious to the audience for just being in the room. “I am so glad there are people here! I was afraid I was gonna walk out and no one was going to be in the room!”Īccording to Teddy, this was his first solo panel! Sears utters, when he walks into the panel? Teddy Sears himself dropped into Cincinnati to make our Flash hearts flutter! What is the first thing Mr. This weekend at Cincinnati Comic Expo, Zoom stopped by, for a visit. That’s right.
